The RUHE Group, an owner-managed group of companies based in Lüsche, Lower Saxony, has sold two advanced plants for the production of bio-LNG in Schmuggerow and Velgast to Byont Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The RUHE Group is one of the leading providers of sustainable solutions at the interface of modern agriculture and renewable energy, with a particular focus on biogas, biomethane and bio-LNG.
Byont, part of a European platform for green gas infrastructure, is expanding its presence in the scalable biomethane and bio-LNG sector with this acquisition. The acquired plants each have a daily production capacity of around seven tons of bio-LNG and strengthen Byonts strategic position in the market for sustainable fuels.
